What is Fund-A-Need?
Fund-A-Need is a special section during our gala live auction event where every dollar raised goes toward one specific, meaningful project that directly benefits our school and children. Instead of bidding on items, guests are invited to give at a level that feels right for them, collectively making a tangible impact on a shared goal.
What is the 2026 Fund-A-Need?
Imagine a space on our campus transformed from a muddy, underused area into a vibrant native plant garden filled with color, life, and learning. With your support, we can create a sustainable outdoor classroom that restores local habitat, supports pollinators, and gives our students a hands-on connection to the natural world of California.
This garden is more than beautification, it is education in action. Native plants require less water, thrive in our local soil and climate, and naturally attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Students will learn firsthand about ecosystems, conservation, and sustainability - not from a textbook, but by planting, caring for, and watching their garden grow.
This project has already been inspired and designed by our own students through the Jackson Nature Bowl team. They helped plan the layout and vision, and they will continue to maintain the garden - watering, weeding, and creating educational signage so the entire school community can learn from the space. The garden’s location was carefully selected for sunlight, accessibility, and visibility, ensuring it becomes an integrated part of student life during recess, electives, and classroom lessons.
